Case Study: The Pepperstack Bistro at Rosie's Bar, Aghada

The Pepperstack Bistro is a growing restaurant located in East Cork. In 2010 Imelda and Martin were planning an ambitous marketing campaign to increase both casual and regular trade in the restaurant.

They planned to completely revise the web presence by launching a new static web site and starting an active soclal media campaign through Facebook.

They recognised that both these initiatives needed great images to really promote their business.

When we met initially Imelda had a list of their Unique Selling Points and we discussed how these elements could be represented in key images that would present these core values instantly to viewers on-line.

Together we designed an interactive photo session in the restaurant which included: working behind the scenes in the kitchen to show the quality of the raw ingredients and that everything is cooked fresh; working with selected guest diners to capture service; using these diners to capture plated food in a realistic environment; interior details including featured branding; informal portraits of the staff; candid pictures of the staff at work during food prepatation and service.

In the end we delivered a full portfolio of images to Imelda and Martin. Their static web site is now a showcase of the quality of produce and service that the Pepperstack Bistro provides. Beyond that they were left with a stock of images which were rolled out on Facebook alongside seasonal promotions over the following six months.

Following the success of the first session we returned to the Pepperstack at the end of 2012 to shoot additional material. This included full staff group shots and more candid work featuring new kitchen staff members. They now have a stock of fresh images to use in Social Media and printed marketing through 2013.
